Gravel

The Innovator Dubai Gravel Water Filtration System offers a cost-effective physical filtration option for pre-treating water prior to disinfection or additional filtration processes. Using multiple layers of carefully graded gravel and sand media, it harnesses the basic principles of surface filtration to remove suspended solids and particles from raw water sources.

Filter gravel is used as a support media to filter sand and coal in water filters. For maximum efficiency, filter gravel must possess the necessary attributes of hardness and be rounded rather than angular.

How it Works

Water enters the bottom of the filtration tank and flows upwards through layers of washed gravel ranging from 3/8″ to 1/4″ in diameter. Smaller 1/8″ gravel and filter sand rest above to capture finer sediments.

As water percolates through this multi-media filter, solids become trapped on the surfaces and in pore spaces between the gravel chips. This pre-treats water in a passive, gravity-driven process without chemicals or active components.
